Hello there, I’m Adam Mayers, MSA President!
If you want to more about my role and that of the MSA you can read my President’s message. When not occupied by meetings or emails and general scheming I do my best to pass medicine. If you talk to me I will almost certainly tell you that I am hungry and/or need coffee.
Hello GKT! I’m Nikki and I’m your Vice President Academic of the MSA. My main role in the MSA is making sure that your academic experience is the best it can be, be that through our peer teaching scheme, our various academic events or ensuring you are represented at all academic meetings. Through my role I work with year representatives, academic societies and of course our wonderful academic events officers. If you have any concerns, complaints or questions (however big or small) please do not hesitate to contact me directly!
Hi, I’m Andrew and I’m this year’s MSA Secretary. My main role is keeping the committee running efficiently, but I also will be supporting the other committee members with various projects over the year. In my spare time I’m a 3rd year medical student, hapless hockey player, and an honorary member of A$AP Mob. I’m always looking for ways to improve on the great work the MSA does, so if you have any ideas please feel more than free to contact me via email!
Hi! I’m Julian and I’m the Welfare Officer of the MSA.
The welfare team are here to provide you with all of your pastoral needs during your time at GKT. As medical students we are exposed to a unique set of pressures; medics dedicate their whole lives wanting to take care of others but often neglect to take care of themselves. My aim is to ensure that there is someone there for you if ever you need it. Whatever your concern, simply get in touch with our pioneering Peer Support team, and they will help in any way they can, completely confidentially of course. To find out more about peer support, or to get in touch, simply visit their section of the website, or email the team at MSAPeerSupport@KCL.ac.uk. I’m always available for a chat and feel free to drop me an email (email@example.com) with any questions or concerns you might have – look forward to seeing you around!
Hi I’m Juli: 4th year medic, culturally confused international student, and football lover. My job this year is to liaise with sports teams and societies and help them run smoothly. Make sure you take a look at all of the group descriptions on our website! In such a big uni I would have been completely lost if I hadn’t joined a smaller community with a common interest – easily the best way to get involved and get to know people. Feel free to get in touch with questions or comments, or come over and say hi if you see me around campus/in Guy’s bar!
Hi I’m Harriet and I’m one of your MSA Social Events Officers for 2014. I’m going into my third year at GKT and have loved every minute here so far. I can’t wait to make your time here as fun as mine has been by organising all things social. We have a jam packed freshers fortnight planned with so many great ideas for events to suit everybody so come along and don’t miss out! These will continue throughout the year, only getting bigger and better. You can catch me at most of the events, so please come over for a chat or if you have any questions!
